OMAR FARUQ

Mr. Omar Faruq is currently serving as a Legal Associate at the esteemed Chambers, where he has been able to apply his extensive legal knowledge and skills to a diverse range of cases. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (Hon’s) degree from the University of Derby in England, followed by a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Asia Pacific in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he is an enrolled Advocate with the District and Sessions Judge Court in Dhaka, allowing him to represent clients in various legal matters.

Before joining Dr. Khaled H. Chowdhury and Associates, Mr. Omar amassed valuable experience by working in two distinguished law chambers, where he honed his legal skills and gained practical insights into various aspects of legal practice. This background has equipped him with a robust understanding of the legal landscape, making him a competent professional in his field.

At the Chambers, Mr. Omar is responsible for a broad spectrum of legal tasks, including conducting comprehensive legal research to support case strategies, drafting and reviewing complex legal documents such as petitions, legal notices, and legal opinions, as well as preparing affidavits in opposition and compliance. His role also entails providing case overviews and meticulously vetting various legal documents and agreements, including company constitutions, ensuring that all materials meet the rigorous standards required for legal compliance. Notably, he has developed significant expertise in arbitration matters, which further enhances his value to the firm and its clients.

Throughout his academic journey, Mr. Omar was actively engaged beyond his studies, serving as a member of the Bangladesh Scouts. His participation in various extracurricular activities speaks to his well-rounded character and leadership abilities, resulting in numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions.
